I NEED WHAT?

Apparently to visit Libya, or receive ANY form of visa if you're NOT a citizen, you need "references." I'm assuming friends or family members. The .pdf file that I downloaded and saved is called "wife_form", so apparently it was originally for the foreign-born wives of Libyan men. This file, once filled out, does have to be translated into Arabic.... AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH! I may know a few words of Arabic, but I CAN'T write the language. I'm probably going to "force" one of my friends (Ayman or Akram) to do the translations, if I can't do so through Google Translate. And everything I've translated so far has come through-- though when I try to translate my full name (Melinda Marie Harkema), it will translate my first and middle names, but not my last... merde (if you learn only ONE swear word in the Romance languages, let "merde" be it. Literally, merde becomes "merda", "mierda", and so on in Italian/Portuguese and Spanish).

UPDATE:

I had my friend Johnny Hassoun, from Lebanon, run my last name. Apparently my last name is a bit "tricky" to translate into Arabic... ميليندا ماري هاركيما -- it does run back through correctly, though with an 'i' where the 'e' is in my last name. Close enough. I've seen (and heard) worse corruptions of my last name!
