More coloring pages-- and Eid cards for kids

I absolutely love anything creative or artistic, and think it's important for children of all ages to engage their minds in creative pursuits. So I actively search for new sites online that promote this, and found this site last night-- http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/eid_colouring_pages.htm -- this is a site, based in the UK, that has a host of creative ideas.

Instead of BUYING Eid cards (if you could find them in the first place), why not make them. My own idea is below.

This design is one I plan to use for my own Eid cards- http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/pdfs/eid_mubarak_colouring_card_2.pdf -- to friends across the pond and puddle. Just a few copies of it printed off at Arcadia Library, onto cardstock from Michaels Arts and Crafts (probably a creamish-gold), and then artfully outlined in gold or silver and black Prismacolor marker, along with some color, and it'll be an Eid card I'll be proud to send.

Naturally, each envelope will be stamped with the USPS' special Eid stamp--   https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDown.jsp?productId=S_576704&categoryId=subcatS_S_Sheets

But in the meantime, if you're looking for activities to do with your kiddos during Ramadan, or want to bring a bit more multiculturalism into their lives, I recommend the site above. It's good for both Muslims and non-Muslims alike, due to the variety of coloring sheets and activities presented there.

Ramadan Mubarak, to all. May this month of fasting be a time of reflection for us all, on where we're going, where we've been, and may it bring us all closer to the one, Almighty God whom we all worship.
