Well, in tracking visits to this site from SiteMeter (I would urge ALL bloggers around the world to have this on their blog), apparently someone from Ft. Benning, GA, which is where COTA/WHINSEC is, has pinged the blog. The State Department has also viewed this page in the past, which means IF I feared my government (Reagan was not all bad, as he had a few comic moments, at one point saying, "The scariest words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."), I'd be quaking in my boots right about now :-P Either that or they actually VIEWED the page, which is what the SiteMeter seemed to indicate. From what I've heard about Ft. Benning, GA, from two who would know (my brother and father) I hope your time training there is more pleasurable than what I've heard it's like. According to my relatives, Ft. Benning was "Hell on Earth", until they went other places that were worse.
So take care of yourself, ye who come here from Ft. Benning/Augusta, GA. To all of those who serve their country, and are there to protect and serve, I salute you. You're doing something that not many of us can do. Y'all are doing something that the average Jane (or Joe) cannot do. I know, because I am incapable of doing this. I serve my country in other ways.
Anyways, thank you for serving our country, in whatever capacity you're doing so. If you're a member of a FA (foreign army) taking a course at Ft. Benning, GA (and we both know what component, cough WHINSEC, cough cough you're doing so under), then "Welcome to the United States." You're roughly two and a half hours from anything interesting (Atlanta), and no doubt flew into Atlanta-Hartsfield (though Ft. Benning DOES have its own airstrip!), so if you can, try to get out of the confines of One Corner of Hell According to This Blogger's BIG Brother.
