This isn't "Islam"

The attack today (1/7/2015, which coincidentally happens to be Orthodox Christmas) in Paris, France, at the magazine HQ of Charlie Abdo, is NOT Islamic. Those who would attack out of misguided loyalty and faith are no more Muslim than those "Christians" who firebomb abortion clinics and murder abortion providers like Dr. George Tiller, IN HIS CHURCH DURING SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE. Perhaps I'm a bit daft, but what part of "thou shall not kill" escapes these mental lightweights?

While I cannot (fully) agree with publication of any images which are insulting to any religion, I also do not agree with attacking those who do so in such a GROSS and terroristic fashion. You see, here in the West we have two HUGE things called FREEDOM OF THE PRESS AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH. That means no matter how big of an asshole you are for saying it, you usually still have a right to say it, barring certain legal lines. Certain states have differing laws and statutes in place, and of course there's the federal ones.

The French police officer was executed, point blank, with an assault rifle shot to the head, while pleading for his life. He was already shot and severely, perhaps already fatally wounded. I doubt the images will ever make it onto mainstream US news; the FCC seems to think Americans are weak little pansies who can't tolerate violence, swearing, nudity, and the like. Hell, live for a nanosecond in metro Los Angeles and YOU WILL SEE ALL OF THE ABOVE. This brutish thug shot him anyways. May God grant this officer Jannah, and his attacker eternal Jahannam.

I'm betting, based on slight accent, that these asshat terrorists are Algerian, or if native-born French, are of Algerian descent.

That's all I can say. 12 people, men and women, are now dead at the hands of three terrorists. Journalists and policemen, two professions, dedicated to informing and protecting the public. These terrorists aren't Muslims. At least not like Muslims I know.

The Muslims I know aren't like this. They're men and women, just like myself, who are on a different path than I'm on, a path which leads us to the same place: the one Almighty God. We agree on many things, and the things we don't agree on, we're respectful enough of each other to ignore. We find common ground, and build from there, and that's what one HAS TO DO in today's society.

May God keep us all safe from harm... now and forever. Ameen.
