New beginning(s)

I finally filled out my FAFSA (basically the "money to go to college from the US gov't", it stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid) again, and I'll be starting college classes again this summer. It was approved; I will receive $5,550 from my government to go to school for the 2012-2013 school year, and $10,500 in loans (if I want them or need them). I have also filled out the 2011-2012 school year form, although it's less clear of what money will be mine. Even if I have to have a Stafford loan for the summer term, I'll be doing it. I'll have a full credit load, online classes this first term-- 12-15 credit hours; be working between 20 and 30 hours (or full time-- 40 hours-- if I'm in Libya)... so yes, this Type A personality is about to "morph" into the Type A subset, Type E, "Everything for Everybody Except Herself". My parents are supportive, but say that "work must come first." Well, this is also important, and I wouldn't attempt it if I didn't KNOW I could do it. My goal GPA is AT LEAST a 3.75... if not a perfect 4.0 average. I nearly made it that one quarter, except for that pesky A minus in one of my Nursing courses! Something dealing with phlebotomy (or as I put it to the professor, who didn't appreciate my gallows humor-- "blood sucking vampirism")... yuck.

Marylhurst University, in beautiful Lake Oswego, OR, will be my alma mater. I'd looked at going there out of high school... but didn't. And should have. But will now, 13 years later.
