Thankful

I am truly blessed and thankful for so many things in my life.

I have a roof over my head at night, a job that I love and do well at, transportation to and from work (YAY, gasoline is holding at $2.29 a gallon, GOD BLESS TEXAS!), plenty of food to eat, clean water to drink, and friends and a family who I love and cherish. I live in a land where I'm free to call the President a "fucking assclown with a Cheeto face and fewer brain cells than I have fingers and toes" if and when I want. I can call government agencies "the Gestapo" and not worry about being thrown in a terrible prison. I can worship the way I want, at whatever church I want to (St. Mary's Cathedral here in ATX, BTW, and I go to the Traditional Latin Mass, aka, the Extraordinary Form of Mass, about half the time and the Novus Ordo Missae, aka, the Ordinary Form of Mass the other half; there is true beauty in both forms of the liturgy). I can go to whatever fast food restaurant strikes my fancy whenever I want. I can make a Target run to three different Targets in the space of a day, or go to three different Walmart stores (the one along Hwy 290 is the best around; the one along Ben White/US 71 is a bit more... ghetto). I can go buy a bestselling book at Half Price Books and then go next door to the Goodwill Industries thrift store in the same complex. I can indulge my snobbish British side and buy expensive (but extremely delicious) brewed teas at The Steeping Room before getting to HPB/Goodwill.

In other words, I've got things that 90% of the world would literally fight to get. And that everyone, in my book, deserves.

I am blessed. I am thankful.
