For any foodie, when they find a company they adore, they stick with it. I actually worked for Temecula Olive Oil Company for a month in 2014 at the Los Angeles County Fair. It was quite a lot of fun, and while I'm not sure sales were as great as they could've been (we were exiled out to "The Farm" area and not a lot of people probably knew we were there!), it was definitely an experience I enjoyed. Best temporary job ever... and one of the greatest locavore companies I know of.
This one, well, is an online exclusive, and one I'm sure would probably be popular with readers of this blog (totally obvious reasons why, LOL). It's Fresh Date Balsamic Vinegar. And like all of the things they do, when they're making the flavored products, they crush the fruit along with the grapes. It isn't fake fruit extracts, it's the real deal. Temecula Olive Oil Co. Fresh Date Balsamic Vinegar -- haven't tried it yet myself, but I KNOW their California Balsamico Bianco with Fresh Apple, their 911 Hatch Chili Balsamico Bianco, their Honey one... Just Dip It... Just Dress It... all of their products are beyond amazing. This one would likely be awesome over a spring salad with some goat cheese and olives (which, natch, they also sell-- The Best (Green) Olives this side of the Mississippi). Or maybe a dressing with one of their award winning olive oils, the Fresh Date Balsamic, and a dash of Zahtar (which even my somewhat particular Lebanese hubby has to admit is "worth every penny").
Anywho... enjoy. The rehab of my Kitchenaid mixer has yet to commence, because I had it shipped up to our house in Washington state. But I can't wait to get started, creating the "Pink Princess" and then using it to my heart's desire. I'm also bidding on a Mini Artisan stand mixer, out of Santa Ana, so hopefully I win that auction and can have a mixer down here, too. And then when the hubster and I FINALLY move, I'll gift it to my equally if not more so foodie friend Natashia, who's taught me more in the kitchen than almost anyone else.
