To the regular readers of this blog:
I have been dealing with two main groups of women who find it necessary to analyze, stalk, and otherwise harass everything I say or do on this blog for quite some time now (over two years for the one site, over three for the other). It crossed lines long ago. It ceased to be normal behavior long before that. It has caused me immense personal stress, and is one direct cause of the migraine headaches I've had since childhood.
I pray that none of you ever face anything like I have in my life. When I was 12, something happened that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It still, to this day, is a major contributing factor to my PTSD and anxiety. I will never fully get over it, but I'm at peace over that. I know I'll need periodic counseling for life. I'll probably need periodic medication as well (and presently have an active Rx for Elavil, 10 mg, prn-- more for migraine prophylaxis, but it does help with the PTSD and anxiety). More recently, events have taken place that are equally hard to deal with. I have a wonderful man in my life as my husband now, but that still won't erase the previous events. It can't. Nothing can. Time will perhaps ease the sting, but I won't ever forget what could've been, nor will certain times of year be much easier to deal with.
I have made it so that only those who directly type the URL of this blog or follow from a few specific referral sites will be allowed in. I have made it so that if people from a certain site try to come here, they will be redirected to another site instead. I have also modified the URL of the blog as well (take note of the new address). For those who are legitimately here, I'm sorry if it causes you any extra trouble.
For those of you who are only here to engage in "Melinda harassment", I can track your IP's, and if it becomes necessary to start banning them, I will do that. It's an annoyance and a little complicated as well as time consuming, but I'm more than willing to do it to keep myself asshole free. Furthermore, since it shows definite action on your part to continue the harassment, I will take note of your ISP and report you to them, as well as LEA's in this area, since what you're doing is a violation of both California criminal codes as well as civil codes.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and thankfully even though my first jury summons starts tomorrow (SOMEONE in the scheduling department of the LA Superior Court has a sick sense of humor-- 52 weeks in a year and they choose my birthday week to summon me for my civic duty!), I DON'T have to report to the courthouse. I'll no doubt have to later in the week-- and it's supposed to be triple digit heat starting Wednesday, with single digit humidity, and strong Santa Ana winds. That basically means any jackass with a match could light half of the Angeles National Forest on fire. Oh joy; that'll make things fun for my allergies and asthma. At least as much fun as the Colby Fire was.
