This song was originally written post 9/11 by the GREAT Sir Paul McCartney and performed at the Concert for New York City that benefited the relief and humanitarian efforts in that city and Washington, D.C.
I definitely think its sentiment is especially true for the post you-know-who/He Who Shall Not Be Named (LOL) Libya. The Libyan people have definitely fought (and continue to fight) for their newfound freedom. May God be with Libya (as He was with my country, the United States of America, after this attack on our freedom by terrorists seeking to destroy us), for only God can truly bring true freedom and peace to any nation.
